The Modern Library

Even though I read quite a lot of e-books (yes, they are convenient) I am still completely in awe of a beautifully put together personal library, one that the whole family can enjoy and be passed for generations to come.

One of my favorites is the clothbound books Coralie Bickford-Smith designed for Penguin Classics. Coralie is an award-winning British designer and has created several book series with Penguin-Random House.

The collections when put together form a beautiful classics library and are excellent gifts as well.

These titles explore my obsession to create beautiful, timeless artifacts for people to enjoy, cherish and pass on. Sumptuous, tactile books that evoke a rich heritage of bookbinding while retaining fresh appeal to modern readers; that both stand out in bookshops and have a longevity appropriate to the contents.
