It's Allergy Season
It's Spring! Oh, and allergy season.
Be it outdoor allergens such as pollen and molds or indoor ones such as dust mites (just the word already gives me chills) or pet dander the results are symptoms that can make anyone miserable when all that you would love to do is enjoy the weather and breath some fresh air after a long Winter.
But there is hope. According to specialists, besides drug treatments, here are a few things you can do to help you get through this season.
An air purifier helps clean your air of small particles (including pollen, bacteria and pet dander). We recommend Dyson purifiers for great design and efficiency, it captures 99.97% of allergens in the air where installed. Place it where you spend the most substantial amount of time, I have one in my bedroom and one in my office.
Minimize dust, clutter and keep surfaces clean. Vacuum the house at least once a week with a vacuum cleaner that uses a HEPA filter. Rugs and upholstery should be cleaned regularly. Cover box spring and pillows with allergen-proof zippered covers. Keep rooms ventilated and dry - a dehumidifier might be helpful. If you are the one with allergy issues, use a dust mask while cleaning.
Take a shower before going to bed to get rid of allergens carried from outdoors. Wash your hands regularly during the day.
I hope this helps!
