Her experience with paint still informs the gestures and surfaces of the work. In 2019 she opened a storefront and studio in Homewood, Alabama, where making and showing the pieces could sit together. The pottery passes through making, smoothing, glazing, gold decoration, sanding and a final check, with more than five pairs of hands and eyes involved. The hydrangeas outside her first garage studio became a recurring source of imagery, connecting the flowers of everyday life to the work of her hands.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Shop Susan Gordon Pottery","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52888663654675,"sku":"WB-HYB-002","price":114.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0286\/3244\/9099\/files\/bluehydrangeaAdorn-3.jpg?v=1771965411","url":"https:\/\/www.themayfairhall.com\/products\/adorn-blue-hydrangea-wavy-stoneware-bowl-by-susan-gordon-pottery","provider":"The Mayfair Hall","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
