Fluted legs, floral details and antiqued brass pulls frame soft-close drawers, while finished paneling on every side allows the desk to sit away from a wall. The Natural Light Oak finish keeps the Mindi wood grain in view.

“I would consider Colette for the center of a study because its back is finished too. The collection is designed in the company’s New Orleans studio and made with manufacturing partners in Indonesia, bringing classical proportions into furniture for present-day homes. Small-batch production and hand finishing are central to its approach: carved borders, wood grain and carefully worked surfaces give familiar forms their individual character.
