For the decanter’s first use, leave a mixture of equal parts room-temperature water and vinegar inside for 24 hours, then rinse well. Handwash the decanter after serving, rinse thoroughly and store it without its stopper so air can circulate. Avoid abrasive cleaners, very hot water and sudden changes of temperature; keep the crystal out of the microwave and oven.

MAKER / HERITAGE

Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings two centuries of decorative knowledge to the art of setting a table and furnishing a home. Its porcelain tradition combines technical precision with artistic work, including a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected pieces; crystal and glass extend that vocabulary into the bar and the room beyond. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron keep the house’s heritage in conversation with contemporary life. The result is a breadth of patterns, forms and disciplines from which to build a service or collection with lasting personal character.

AS SEEN IN

Architectural Digest · Elle Decor

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0286/3244/9099/files/vista-alegre-tableware-default-title-vista-alegre-helsinky-case-with-decanter-29242367967307.jpg?v=1765387859
https://www.themayfairhall.com/products/helsinky-crystal-whisky-decanter-and-glasses-by-vista-alegre-5-piece-set
