j138-folding-oak-and-linen-chair-by-fdb-mobler
J138 Folding Oak and Linen Chair by FDB Møbler

The J138 folding chair combines a substantial oak frame with the softer appearance of linen, producing a movable seat with a very different character from the fixed dining chairs in the FDB collection. Designed by Erik Ole Jørgensen in 1978, the form allows a chair to be brought into use as a room changes. The wood's natural finish gives definition to the folding structure, while the fabric introduces a quieter, domestic texture.

“I find a folding chair most appealing when I do not have to hide it. The oak and linen J138 is handsome enough to stand in a bedroom or reading room until an extra seat is needed. Its materials make flexibility feel like a considered choice, not a compromise.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Product Details

Nature oiled oak with linen

34.6″ H × 22.8″ W × 21.3″ D

Designed by Erik Ole Jørgensen

Curated by Rosendahl

Care & Ownership

Brush the linen gently and blot spills without rubbing; wipe the oak with a dry soft cloth.
