The Romance Is Dead Round Cotton Twill Placemats in Yellow by Sophie Williamson Design bring the collection’s cherry-blossom-inspired floral to the table in a set of six substantial round placemats. The golden-yellow ground gives the romantic pattern warmth and energy, while the heavy cotton twill provides enough structure for each place setting to feel clearly defined.
An embroidered border finishes the 14½-inch round silhouette and gives the placemats a more considered edge than a simple printed circle. Their shape also introduces a useful change of geometry at the table, particularly against rectangular or square surfaces and among the straight lines of plates, flatware, and folded napkins.

Care & Ownership
Machine wash at approximately 30°C or on a warm setting. Line dry away from direct sunlight whenever possible; if machine drying is necessary, use a delicate low setting. Iron from the reverse while the cotton is slightly damp, or mist lightly before pressing. Attend to stains promptly with water and a small amount of dish soap before washing. Avoid bleach and dry cleaning.
Because of their round shape and substantial twill construction, the placemats may curl slightly when first removed from their packaging. A thorough steaming will help them lie flat, and the fabric will also relax naturally with use.
