Acorn and Oak Leaf Glass Hurricane Candleholder by Vagabond House

Sale price$380.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

A removable, pewter-rimmed glass hurricane rises above an acorn-and-oak-leaf base. The compact candleholder carries the woodland pattern around a clear enclosure, keeping the candle visible through the glass.

“I like a small hurricane that can be enjoyed from several sides. A secure candle fit and clear space from napkins, flowers and anything overhead come before the arrangement.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Use a properly fitting candle with clearance between its flame and the glass. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials; never leave a burning candle unattended. Follow the candle's burn limits and let wax, glass and metal cool fully before handling. Lift out the glass to hand wash gently in warm soapy water; clean the pewter base with a soft cloth and dry both parts promptly. Avoid abrupt temperature changes, abrasives, silver polish and the dishwasher.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
