Acorn and Oak Leaf Glass Pitcher by Vagabond House

Oak leaves and acorns climb the pewter handle of this tall glass pitcher. The clear vessel makes its contents visible, while the sculpted handle brings the Acorn and Oak Leaf pattern into a piece intended for pouring at the table.

“Water deserves a handsome pitcher as much as a celebratory drink. I keep the pouring edge clean and turn the handle toward whoever is likely to refill the glasses.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
