Acorn and Oak Leaf Small Stoneware Serving Tray by Vagabond House

Sculpted pewter oak leaves and acorns decorate the handles of this small stoneware serving tray. Its shallow rectangular form provides a defined surface for passing small dishes, with the white stoneware setting off the detailed woodland metalwork.

“A small tray is often the useful choice. I like one that makes a bowl and spoon feel like a proper offering, with just enough room to lift both.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
