Aisha Whitewashed Mango Wood Pillar Candleholder Set by Mela Artisans
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Aisha pillar candleholder set is distinguished by hand-carved wood and a softly whitewashed finish. The curved profiles have the approachable character of traditional wooden candlesticks, with just enough ornament to make their silhouettes interesting even when not in use.
Grouped on a mantel or a living-room console, the pale wood introduces a welcome layer of texture beside ceramics, books and framed pictures. Its whitewashed surface makes a particularly gentle contrast with darker timber, allowing the crafted profiles to be noticed without becoming formal.
"I have a particular affection for painted wooden candleholders because they settle so naturally among old things. The Aisha carving has a homely charm that makes a room feel collected and lived in."

Maker / Heritage
Mela Artisans was founded by Navroze S. Mehta and Sonali Mehta Rao to connect traditional Indian craft communities with contemporary homes. Its work with more than 3,500 artisans reflects a sustained interest in preserving hand skills while bringing their results into everyday domestic life.
Within its carved-wood collections, the pleasure lies in the evidence of handwork: considered silhouettes, carefully finished surfaces and the natural variation of timber. Their usefulness is as important as their sculptural presence.
