Anchor Handwoven Natural Rattan Serving Bowl with Glass Insert by Vagabond House
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A removable glass serving bowl sits within a handwoven rattan surround accented with a pewter anchor. The ten-and-a-half-inch diameter combines a clear working bowl with a textured holder, bringing the Anchor pattern to shared table service.
“A removable glass bowl makes this woven form practical for serving. I would wash it separately, dry it thoroughly and return it only when the surrounding weave is dry too.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Remove dust and crumbs with a soft brush. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, keeping moisture localized, then dry thoroughly in an airy place. Do not soak, put in the dishwasher or dry against direct heat. Store completely dry and avoid prolonged dampness or direct sunlight. Clean pewter details gently with a soft cloth, without metal polish. Hand wash the glass gently with warm water, mild soap and a soft sponge; avoid abrupt temperature changes. Where the glass lifts free, clean it separately and let both parts dry fully before refitting. Do not force apart fixed fittings or lift a filled piece by its decorative metal accent.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
