Beehive Stoneware Honey Pot with Dipper by Farmhouse Pottery

Sale price$95.00

A domed, ridged silhouette gives the Beehive Honey Pot its name, while a fitted lid and wooden dipper make honey service pleasantly deliberate. White glaze stops above the warm clay foot, giving this small Vermont-made pot a natural place beside toast, tea or a cheese board.

“With honey, I like the dipper kept beside the pot so a small ribbon can be served without a search through the drawer.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Suitable for the microwave, oven and dishwasher. Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge, or place securely in the dishwasher with space between pieces. Dry fully before stacking; a soft separator helps protect rims.

For oven use, keep temperatures at or below 450°F. Avoid the broiler, stovetop and direct flame, and let the pottery warm and cool gradually. Do not move it straight from the freezer or refrigerator into a hot oven, or place a hot piece on a cold or wet surface.

Remove the wooden dipper before heating or washing the pot. Hand wash the dipper briefly and dry immediately; do not soak or put it in the dishwasher.

Maker / Heritage

Founded in Woodstock, Vermont, in 2012, Farmhouse Pottery brings a working potter’s eye to everyday housewares. Founder James Zilian’s training in ceramics and years designing for Simon Pearce inform the restrained shapes; English studio pottery and the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi inform an affection for visible process and small variations. The signature Silo forms take their lines from Vermont’s farm silos, pairing white glaze with revealed clay. From that starting point, the collection extends into complementary tools and textiles, chosen to make a useful, tactile whole at home.
