Black Forest Stoneware Serving Tray by Vagabond House
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A faux-bois pewter frame surrounds the stoneware body of this large Black Forest tray. Acorns and oak-leaf handles extend the woodland treatment, with the branch-like metalwork providing texture around a broad serving surface.
“A tray this generous needs a planned position. I would try the serving dishes on it before the meal, checking that each remains easy to lift.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Support the body or base when carrying a filled piece.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
