Breccan Grasscloth Bookshelf by bali & pari
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Handwoven grasscloth covers the wood frame of the Breccan bookshelf. Clean angles and an open structure keep attention on the books and objects within, with the woven surface adding texture around their edges.
“I would leave a little room above the tallest books. An open shelf looks more generous when the contents do not meet every boundary.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dust regularly with a soft brush or the gentle brush attachment of a vacuum. Wipe marks with a barely damp, soft cloth and dry promptly. Blot spills before they settle into the weave; avoid soaking, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. Protect the fibers from standing water, direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight.
Maker / Heritage
The rattan work at bali & pari begins with a material that can be shaped as well as woven. Experienced artisans in Indonesia cut, steam and bend the stems, then weave or arrange them into the finished designs. Those techniques allow a single material to form an open lattice, a tightly worked panel or a braided border. Natural differences in tone and fiber remain visible, giving the handworked pieces their individual character.
