Chinese Zodiac Dragon Porcelain Round Box in Red and Gold by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Chinese Zodiac dragon box sets a gold animal motif against a red porcelain lid. Its circular form concentrates the botanical decoration into a small object with a particularly vivid palette.
“I would let this red-and-gold box stand apart from other busy patterns; its dragon is enough of a conversation on its own.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
