Chinese Zodiac Pig Porcelain Round Box in Orange and Gold by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A warm orange ground brings out the gold pig motif on this Chinese Zodiac porcelain box. The round lid is as much a decorative surface as a cover, with botanical details completing the design.
“I like the cheerful warmth of orange in a small dose; this box would make a pleasing interruption on a quieter shelf.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
