Chinese Zodiac Rat Porcelain Round Box in Light Green and Gold by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Soft green gives the gold rat motif on this Chinese Zodiac porcelain box a delicate backdrop. The removable round lid carries the animal within a fine botanical arrangement.
“I like pale green beside old books or simple white objects; this small gold-detailed lid adds interest without a large footprint.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
