Cook & Host White Stoneware Large Cake Stand by Casafina
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A pedestal gives the Cook & Host large cake stand by Casafina a raised place on the table. Its White finish brings a glossy glaze and gently irregular, scalloped edges to the form. Made in Portugal from fine stoneware, the raised platform gives a cake, tart or a grouping of small pastries a distinct place on the table.
“A raised plate is useful even without a large cake; I would give a small group of pastries room to stand apart on its surface.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. For oven use, do not exceed 480°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes: never move a hot piece directly onto a cold or wet surface, or a frozen piece directly into a hot oven. Do not use over a direct flame. Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge; avoid abrasive pads. Hand washing is preferable for large or delicate pieces. Let each piece cool before washing and dry thoroughly before stacking, with care around the rims.
Maker / Heritage
Established in 1981, Casafina develops its collections around the table and the home, pairing Portuguese artisan stoneware with complementary materials including glass, oak and linen. It is now part of the Portuguese group behind COSTA NOVA. The distinction between those materials is deliberate: a shaped ceramic rim, the visible grain of an oak board and the clear outline of a glass dome each bring a different kind of detail to the same setting. For its stoneware, modern production works alongside extensive manual shaping and decoration, giving the modeled edges and glazed surfaces their individual character.
