Copper Recipe Card Box by Galley & Fen
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A fitted lid and warm polished copper turn this recipe box into a useful home for handwritten kitchen notes. Sized for standard four-by-six-inch recipe cards, the compact box keeps favorite instructions together while allowing the metal surface to develop character over time.
“Handwritten recipes deserve a dry place away from the sink, to my mind. Let a newly used card dry completely before putting it back, and keep the box beyond the reach of cooking splashes.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Galley & Fen begins with the eye of an interior designer: founder Laurel Newton studied interior design and created the collection around the everyday objects she wanted in a home. The team develops its own designs, drawing on the useful forms of European vintage kitchens rather than simply reproducing an ornamental look. Its work with a family of artisans in India brings handmaking into those designs, with small variations that remain visible in the finished pieces. Gathered textile edges, embroidered botanical details and warm copper or brass give practical objects a presence of their own. The pleasure is in choosing something useful whose smallest details have also been considered.
