Curl Unlacquered Polished Brass Coat and Hat Hook
The Curl hook draws its name from the turned ends of its upper and lower arms. Cast brass gives the long, curved form substance, while the polished, unlacquered finish begins bright and gradually develops patina. A square mounting base anchors the decorative outline against the wall or woodwork.
“I would place this curving hook where its full outline can be seen, using the upper point for a hat or scarf and the lower one for a coat.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dust with a soft cloth. For cleaning, wipe gently with a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap, then wipe clean and dry immediately, protecting nearby wood or painted surfaces from moisture. The unlacquered brass will naturally darken and develop patina with handling and exposure. If you prefer a brighter surface, use a brass polish suitable for unlacquered brass, following its directions and testing discreetly first. Avoid abrasive pads. Periodically check that the mounting screws remain snug without overtightening.
Maker / Heritage
Forge Hardware Studio approaches a room through the details used every day: the shape of a pull in the hand, the proportion of a hook and the relationship between nearby finishes. Its selection brings together specialist hardware brands with different material and finishing methods. One distinction is especially useful at home: unlacquered brass changes with touch and exposure, while an aged decorative finish supplies its character from the outset. The studio’s coordinated collections make those choices easier to carry across cabinetry and furniture.
