The Down Alternative Duvet Insert by Sunday Citizen gives a bed the generous loft and softness of a traditional duvet without using natural down. Its recycled down-alternative filling is held within baffle-box construction, helping the fill stay evenly distributed rather than gathering in one part of the insert. A smooth shell blending TENCEL™ lyocell with microfiber is designed to remain quiet as you move, while double stitching and a down-proof finish help keep the filling securely contained. Mid-weight for year-round use, it has enough presence to make a duvet cover look properly full without turning the bed into something unnecessarily heavy. Corner loops make it easy to secure inside the cover of your choice.

Mrs. Mayfair

“Not everyone wants down, and there is no reason the alternative should feel like a compromise. What matters is that the duvet has enough loft to make the bed inviting, stays evenly filled, and disappears beautifully inside whichever cover you happen to love that season.”

Care & Ownership

Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, bleach, tumble dry, or iron. Keep the insert protected inside a duvet cover during regular use. When changing the bed, allow it to air and gently redistribute the filling through the baffle boxes as needed so the loft remains even.

Maker / Heritage

Sunday Citizen grew from the meeting of multigenerational textile expertise and hospitality. Its earliest product was developed for a luxury hotel that needed a blanket exceptionally soft enough for guests yet durable enough for repeated use. The family-run company has since built its collection around that same balance of comfort, practicality, and textile development, remaining directly involved in the design and development of its fabrics and home products.
