Encanto Amelia Slate and White Enameled Cake Stand by Beatriz Ball
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Slate-and-white enamel traces Amelia's fluted cake-stand form, finished with a gold-tone rim. The 12.5-inch top presents a cake or a selection of desserts above a raised base, making the stand a useful change of level on a serving table. Its food-safe enameled aluminum alloy gives the sculptural shape a practical purpose.
“A cake stand need not be surrounded by more cake stands to feel festive. I would make Amelia the raised piece, leaving lower plates nearby so its scalloped edge and slate color remain distinct.”

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Encanto adds color to the cast-metal tradition: enamel and gold-tone details emphasize the curves and edges, making the form as much a part of the table as the food it holds.
