Encanto Bloom Cream and White Enameled Serving Bowl by Beatriz Ball - Medium
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Bloom's rippling, petal-like edges come from Beatriz Ball's collaboration with Louisiana ceramicist Gretchen Murchison. In this medium serving bowl, cream and white enamel and a gold-tone rim follow the floral aluminum-alloy form. Its generous, irregular outline gives salads, fruit or a shared dish a sculptural setting without a printed pattern.
“Bloom's shape already gives a salad a decorative setting. I am drawn to the way an irregular petal-like rim can make a loose, generous serving look considered without an elaborate garnish.”

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Bloom grew from Ball’s collaboration with Louisiana ceramicist Gretchen Murchison. Its rippling, petal-like outlines bring the movement of a ceramic form to practical serving pieces.
