Encanto Carola Pistachio and White Enameled Serving Platter by Beatriz Ball - Large
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Soft pistachio and white enamel meet a gold-tone edge on the large Carola round platter. Its flowing rim gives a 16.5-inch serving surface a sculptural outline, while the food-safe finish makes it useful for appetizers, desserts or a main-course arrangement. The aluminum-alloy body is made through Beatriz Ball's sand-casting process.
“Pistachio can be the quiet color at the center of a table. I would surround it with plain plates and let some of Carola's curved edge remain visible, so the platter frames the food rather than simply disappears beneath it.”

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Encanto adds color to the cast-metal tradition: enamel and gold-tone details emphasize the curves and edges, making the form as much a part of the table as the food it holds.
