Encanto Jason Cream Enameled Picture Frame by Beatriz Ball - 8 x 10 in.

The large Encanto Jason frame gives an 8-by-10-inch photograph a broad surround in cream enamel. A gold-tone rim defines the rectangular aluminum-alloy border, adding a warm, tailored detail to a mantel or console. Its generous proportions make it useful when one photograph is intended to anchor a display rather than disappear into a group of smaller frames.

“The larger Jason frame can anchor a group of smaller family photographs. I would let one favorite picture have that extra room, then keep neighboring objects low enough that it is easy to enjoy.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage

Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.

In the frames, the same attention to a shaped edge gives a personal photograph a considered setting. The metal surround is decorative in its own right without needing to dominate the image.
