Four Door Reclaimed Elm Sideboard from Canggu Home
Special Order: This is a special-order item with an estimated lead time of 4 to 8 weeks. As it is prepared exclusively for you, it is considered final sale and cannot be returned.
Four paneled doors give this reclaimed elm sideboard a quiet, repeated rhythm across its broad front. Ring pulls add a small hardware detail, while the interior shelving provides enclosed storage for pieces that are more useful close to hand than permanently on display.
The natural wood brings its own changing grain to the simple rectangular form. At 79 inches long, the sideboard offers a generous surface for a lamp or a few larger objects, with room to let the material show between them.
“A sideboard should make a room easier to live in as well as more settled to look at. I would keep frequently used serving pieces within comfortable reach, then give the long top fewer, larger objects rather than many small ones.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, working gently along the grain. Blot spills immediately and dry the surface fully; use coasters and protective mats beneath hot, cold or wet objects. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads and prolonged dampness. Keep the piece away from direct sunlight, heaters and strong air vents. Solid wood responds to changes in humidity, so small changes in grain and color are part of its character. Lift furniture when moving it rather than dragging the legs across the floor. Dust inside drawers, shelves and door edges periodically, keeping the interiors dry and avoiding overloading small compartments.
Maker / Heritage
Canggu Home grew from a family’s search for rooms with a quieter, more natural character. A visit to artisan workshops in Canggu, Bali, inspired the family’s approach in 2021, followed by direct sourcing from makers in China, Indonesia and Africa. The business is a curator: its interest is in material, workmanship and the way a piece belongs in a room. Visible grain, hand-worked irregularity and plainly expressed forms are part of that choice, with Japanese and Scandinavian influences brought together through texture rather than elaborate decoration.
