Four-Season Wool Bedding Set by Frankenmuth Woolen Mill
The Four-Season Wool Bedding Set is the most complete expression of Frankenmuth Woolen Mill’s bedding system. Each size includes both a regular-weight and a lightweight wool comforter, plus a wool mattress topper and size-appropriate sleeping pillow or pillows. Climate Beneficial™ wool and certified organic cotton are used throughout, with the comforters and topper hand-tied approximately every nine inches. Rather than asking one comforter to suit every room and season, the set provides two weights so the bed can change as the year does.
“Changing the weight of the bed with the season is one of those old household habits worth keeping. The lighter comforter belongs to warm nights; the fuller one comes back when the evenings turn cold. I like opening the linen cupboard in autumn and knowing the house is prepared before the first truly cold night.”

Care & Ownership
Comforter and topper: hand wash in lukewarm or cold water with a mild wool-safe detergent. Do not agitate. Line dry or air dry completely; do not machine wash, tumble dry, or apply heat. Pillow: fluff regularly, refresh outdoors in sunlight from time to time, and spot clean only. Frankenmuth Woolen Mill also accepts its bedding back for professional care.
Maker / Heritage
Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has made wool bedding since 1894. Today the historic American mill still washes and air-dries its Climate Beneficial™ wool, cards it on century-old machinery, and finishes bedding by hand between layers of certified organic cotton. More than a century of practice is visible in the construction itself: natural fibers, hand-tied batting, and a process designed to keep useful bedding in service for years.
