Galiena Rattan Chest by bali & pari
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Scalloped details distinguish the Galiena rattan chest’s lift-top form. The woven exterior surrounds an enclosed storage compartment, offering a textured alternative to a solid cabinet for organizing a sitting room or entryway.
“I would leave clear space above the lid rather than treating it as a permanent display surface. Easy access is what makes a lift-top chest useful.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Dust regularly with a soft brush or the gentle brush attachment of a vacuum. Wipe marks with a barely damp, soft cloth and dry promptly. Blot spills before they settle into the weave; avoid soaking, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. Protect the fibers from standing water, direct heat and prolonged strong sunlight.
Maker / Heritage
The rattan work at bali & pari begins with a material that can be shaped as well as woven. Experienced artisans in Indonesia cut, steam and bend the stems, then weave or arrange them into the finished designs. Those techniques allow a single material to form an open lattice, a tightly worked panel or a braided border. Natural differences in tone and fiber remain visible, giving the handworked pieces their individual character.
