Hand-Carved Scalloped Fluted Mango Wood Pedestal Bowl by Mela Artisans
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The hand-carved fluted pedestal bowl has a generously scalloped lip above an ornamented wooden base. Worked in solid mango wood, its repeating flutes create subtle movement around the bowl, while the raised foot makes the form visible even when filled.
Choose the Rustic Grey or Natural Finish option to suit the surrounding furnishings; both are the same twelve-inch-wide, five-inch-high bowl. It can anchor a kitchen island with fruit, offer a low centerpiece on the dining table or lend an architectural note to a console where the texture of carved wood is welcome.
"I particularly admire carving that is visible without being fussy. The repeating flutes and scalloped rim give this bowl a clear personality, yet its low, generous proportions leave plenty of room for everyday use."

Maker / Heritage
Mela Artisans was founded by Navroze S. Mehta and Sonali Mehta Rao to connect traditional Indian craft communities with contemporary homes. Its work with more than 3,500 artisans reflects a sustained interest in preserving hand skills while bringing their results into everyday domestic life.
Within its carved-wood collections, the pleasure lies in the evidence of handwork: considered silhouettes, carefully finished surfaces and the natural variation of timber. Their usefulness is as important as their sculptural presence.
