Handwoven Rattan Champagne and Ice Tub by Vagabond House

Sale price$142.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

A broad woven tub offers space for bottles and ice, with cutout handles and a removable clear insert. The rattan exterior makes a strong textural companion to clear glassware while the insert separates the wet contents from the weave.

“For a self-serve station, I turn bottle labels outward. A separate bowl for caps and corks is another small thing that helps guests find their way without asking.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Remove dust and crumbs with a soft brush. Wipe marks with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, keeping moisture localized, then dry thoroughly in an airy place. Do not soak, put in the dishwasher or dry against direct heat. Store completely dry and avoid prolonged dampness or direct sunlight. Clean pewter details gently with a soft cloth, without metal polish. Clean a removable liner separately with mild soap and a soft cloth, rinse and dry before replacing. If the liner is fixed, wipe the inside gently and dry fully without soaking the woven exterior. Protect furniture from condensation and support the base of a loaded bucket or tub.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
