J81 Oiled Oak and Paper Cord Dining Armchair by FDB Møbler
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Jørgen Bækmark's J81 gives the woven-paper-cord dining chair the extra generosity of arms. Its oak framework encloses a broad seat while remaining unusually open in appearance; the cord weave keeps the design tactile and close to the hand. Nature-oiled oak emphasizes the grain and allows the structure to read as one continuous composition. The J81 is distinct from the slimmer J80 and can be used where a more substantial dining seat is desired.
“I would choose this armchair for a place where someone regularly sits longer than the meal itself. Its arms make the seat feel more settled, while the open wooden framework prevents it from becoming imposing. At the end of a dining table, the J81 would have a natural sense of occasion.”
