In smoked-oiled oak, Jørgen Bækmark's J81 armchair reveals the contrast between a deep timber frame and the texture of its woven paper-cord seat. The arms and broad stance make it a more generous dining chair than the J80, but the open construction keeps the silhouette light. The darker finish gives the design a more intimate tone, particularly suited to rooms with books, layered textiles and mixed woods.
