Dust the rattan frame gently. Wipe the woven plastic panels with a soft cloth lightly moistened with mild soapy water, then wipe away residue and dry. Avoid soaking the frame, abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals; protect the rattan from standing water and prolonged strong sunlight.

The rattan work at bali & pari begins with a material that can be shaped as well as woven. Experienced artisans in Indonesia cut, steam and bend the stems, then weave or arrange them into the finished designs. Those techniques allow a single material to form an open lattice, a tightly worked panel or a braided border. Natural differences in tone and fiber remain visible, giving the handworked pieces their individual character.
