Kai Elm Nightstand with Drawer and Doors from Canggu Home
Special Order: This is a special-order item with an estimated lead time of 4 to 8 weeks. As it is prepared exclusively for you, it is considered final sale and cannot be returned.
Kai combines a single drawer with a pair of lower paneled doors in a plain elm bedside form. The arrangement gives small items a shallow compartment above enclosed storage, with simple pulls and visible grain keeping the surface detail restrained.
At 27.5 inches high, 21.5 inches wide and 16 inches deep, it has a taller profile than a low bedside table. Compare it with the mattress and leave room to open the doors comfortably.
“A bedside drawer gives the smallest necessities a place of their own, which is the useful distinction I see in Kai. The doors below can keep larger personal pieces out of sight without asking the top to hold them all.”

Care & Ownership
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth, working gently along the grain. Blot spills immediately and dry the surface fully; use coasters and protective mats beneath hot, cold or wet objects. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive pads and prolonged dampness. Keep the piece away from direct sunlight, heaters and strong air vents. Solid wood responds to changes in humidity, so small changes in grain and color are part of its character. Lift furniture when moving it rather than dragging the legs across the floor. Dust inside drawers, shelves and door edges periodically, keeping the interiors dry and avoiding overloading small compartments.
Maker / Heritage
Canggu Home grew from a family’s search for rooms with a quieter, more natural character. A visit to artisan workshops in Canggu, Bali, inspired the family’s approach in 2021, followed by direct sourcing from makers in China, Indonesia and Africa. The business is a curator: its interest is in material, workmanship and the way a piece belongs in a room. Visible grain, hand-worked irregularity and plainly expressed forms are part of that choice, with Japanese and Scandinavian influences brought together through texture rather than elaborate decoration.
