Kerman Antique Rug Dark Brown Wool Throw Pillow - 18 × 18 in.

Fine dark tracery crosses the warm brown ground of this Kerman rug pillow. Made from a twentieth-century wool rug, its worn pile and visible weave give the surface a character that newly woven cloth cannot duplicate. The eighteen-inch square is made into a pillow in the United States and includes a down-feather insert.

“I would place this dark, finely patterned square against a smooth fabric so the worn rug surface remains the point of interest.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Gently vacuum the wool face at low suction through a protective screen; avoid a rotating brush or pulling at worn areas. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, rotate occasionally and store completely dry in a breathable cover. Follow the insert’s care label for separate cleaning.

Maker / Heritage

Canvello’s family business spans three generations, with its roots in the rug trade. That textile knowledge carries into its pillows: aged rug surfaces are preserved as usable fragments, while patterned cloth is chosen for the relationship between color, weave and scale. Its antique rug pillows give sections of twentieth-century wool rugs a new domestic use, preserving worn pile, subtle color changes and parts of larger floral compositions. The rug-pillow construction is completed in the United States.
