Lebrillo Hand-Painted Terracotta Pitcher in Coral by Pomelo Casa - 10″
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Pomelo Casa’s large Lebrillo Pitcher gives the traditional Spanish bird-or-pomegranate motif considerably more presence. Handmade from terracotta and hand-painted in coral, the approximately 10-inch form is scaled for lemonade or gazpacho at the table and equally suited to a generous arrangement of flowers. The warm coral palette brings freshness to the centuries-old folk pattern, while the larger silhouette allows the painted decoration to become a decorative object in its own right. Handmade and hand-painted in southern Spain, each pitcher carries subtle variations in brushwork and glaze.
“The larger pitcher changes the role of the piece. It can carry lemonade or gazpacho to the table and later hold an armful of flowers: I love an object substantial enough to serve both the meal and the room.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded by interior designer Francesca de la Fuente, Pomelo Casa grew from the ceramics she knew while growing up in southern Spain. The collection is handmade and hand-painted in a small family-run workshop in Granada, using traditional Lebrillo motifs and techniques the maker traces back more than five centuries. Formed from terracotta clay and finished by hand, each piece carries the slight variations in brushwork and glaze that distinguish ceramics made this way.
