Long-Handled Silver-Plated Tea Strainer with Nest by Harney & Sons
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A long handle makes this silver-plated brass strainer easy to lift as tea is poured into the cup. The decorative bowl catches loose leaves, while a matching nest gives the damp strainer a neat resting place on the tea tray.
“I would keep the long handle turned clear of neighboring cups, making it easy to lift without disturbing the rest of the tray.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Empty the leaves promptly. Hand-wash with mild dish soap and warm water, rinse and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, chlorine cleaners and prolonged soaking. Lift tarnish gently with a cloth suitable for silver plate, following the cloth’s instructions; do not scrub the perforations.
Maker / Heritage
John Harney learned tea blending from Stanley Mason while managing the White Hart Inn in Salisbury, Connecticut, before founding Harney & Sons in 1983. The family’s approach joins close attention to tea origins with an enthusiasm for creating new blends. Mike Harney’s experience tasting fine wine helped shape his attention to a tea’s aroma, body and finish; Paul helped bring the company’s blends into its signature sachets. That combination makes exploring the collection feel personal rather than formal. Tea-table accessories and mixed gifts are selected to complement the pleasure of preparing, serving and sharing a good cup.
