Small blue flowers on green stems are spaced across Lottie’s natural linen ground. The open repeat leaves plenty of unprinted fabric around each motif, giving the hand-block design a lighter effect than a dense allover floral. Printed on both sides and finished with an invisible zipper and serged edges, Lottie can bring a small botanical detail to the front of a pillow arrangement without concealing the patterns behind it.

“The space around each flower is Lottie’s best detail to me. One denser companion is enough to set it off, allowing the natural linen ground to remain part of the composition.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Product Details

  • Material: Linen.
  • Nominal sizes: 14 x 20 in. lumbar; 20 x 20 in. square; 22 x 22 in. square.
  • Insert fit: For square covers, the maker recommends an insert 2 in. larger in each dimension; for lumbar covers, choose the insert matching the listed size. Inserts are sold separately. The standard 14 x 20 in. lumbar is sewn slightly smaller, approximately 13 x 19 in., to fit a 14 x 20 in. insert.
  • Construction: Hand-block printed pattern on both sides. Invisible zipper and serged edges.
  • Included: One pillow cover in the selected size. Pillow insert, other covers and room furnishings shown in styling photographs are not included.
  • Hand-printing may produce small changes in pattern placement and color between covers.
  • Sewn in the USA from hand-block printed fabric made in India.

Care & Ownership

Spot clean rather than washing the whole cover. Blot a fresh spill promptly with a clean white cloth. Test a hidden area before treating a mark, then use a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap if needed; avoid rubbing or saturating the fabric. Blot away moisture and let the treated area air-dry fully in the shade before replacing the insert. Do not soak, bleach or tumble-dry. Keep strong direct sunlight from falling on the same area continuously.

Remove and replace the insert gently, supporting the zipper opening rather than forcing a folded insert against its ends. Close the zipper before storing a clean, dry cover, and fold it loosely away from damp and direct light.

Maker / Heritage

Danielle Oakey began her pillow shop in a two-bedroom apartment, building the collection around her interest in fabrics and the combinations they can make. Her approach considers the relationship between covers: the scale of a floral, the clear line of a stripe, and the texture of a weave. The collection brings together hand-block printed fabrics from India and woven textiles, including Lithuanian linens. Interior designers also work with the shop through its trade program. That attention to combining rather than matching gives the covers their usefulness: individual patterns can keep their own character while still belonging in the same room.
