Margão Porcelain Charger Plate by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Margão’s porcelain charger plate gives cobalt-blue flowers and foliage a broad white surface. Its richly decorated form creates a botanical foundation beneath a dinner plate, adding another scale of pattern to a layered blue-and-white table.
“A broad blue-and-white charger gives the whole setting a decorative beginning. I imagine building on it with another favorite plate, carrying the floral drawing through a table that feels collected.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

MAKER / HERITAGE
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings two centuries of decorative knowledge to the art of setting a table and furnishing a home. Its porcelain tradition combines technical precision with artistic work, including a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected pieces; crystal and glass extend that vocabulary into the bar and the room beyond. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron keep the house’s heritage in conversation with contemporary life. The result is a breadth of patterns, forms and disciplines from which to build a service or collection with lasting personal character.
