Menageri Walnut and Metal Bottle Opener by Kay Bojesen
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Menageri bottle opener transforms a modest kitchen implement into a neatly sculpted object. Dark oiled walnut gives the handle a pleasing depth of color, while the metal opening mechanism provides its everyday purpose. At 6.1 inches across, the form feels substantial in the hand yet easily finds a place in a kitchen drawer or on a serving tray. Kay Bojesen's approach to useful design is evident in the friendly curves and the attention paid to an ordinary gesture.
“I have always thought that the small tools one reaches for regularly deserve the same consideration as the larger pieces in a room. The walnut finish would be quite at ease beside a wooden serving board. Its appeal is the combination of practical purpose and thoughtful form.”
