Mona Blue Scalloped Cotton Placemat by Inner Child
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Small blue flowers form an even pattern across this Mona cotton placemat. Its embroidered scalloped edge gives a single setting a decorative border, a useful balance of gentle color and a clearly defined rectangular shape.
“Tiny flowers are a forgiving companion to patterned china. I would compare the scales first: a larger plate motif gives the little Mona flowers room to play a supporting part.”

Maker / Heritage
Inner Child began in New York in 2024 with Michelle Pham's belief that practical objects deserve color and imagination. Her parents, Vietnamese refugees who made things out of necessity, passed on the resourcefulness and design flair behind that outlook. The studio works in small batches with multigenerational artisan families and its own workshop teams, keeping the human variation of handwork visible. Its blockprint collection includes cloth printed by an eighth-generation family in Jaipur, using blocks carved by specialist makers. From those repeated impressions to the flowing patterns of hand marbling, the attraction is the craft within an object made to take part in everyday life.
