Oak Collection Oak Cutting and Serving Board with Handle by COSTA NOVA - 19.69 × 5.91 in.
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Oak Collection oak cutting and serving board with handle by COSTA NOVA brings the visible grain of oak to a serving surface. A projecting handle makes its outline easy to recognize and leaves a place to hold it while arranging the table. The maker specifies dry-food use, making bread and dry accompaniments a natural choice. The board is sold individually.
“I would use the oak grain as the background for bread or dry accompaniments, leaving part of the surface clear rather than filling it edge to edge.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

For dry foods only. Wipe with a damp soft cloth and mild dish soap when needed, then wipe clean and dry promptly. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher. Allow the board to dry fully before storage. Occasionally apply a light coat of food-grade mineral oil or a food-safe board wax, following its directions. Avoid fragranced oils and cooking oils that can become rancid.
Maker / Heritage
COSTA NOVA belongs to the Portuguese Grestel group, whose ceramics production began in Vagos in 1998. Its fine stoneware brings together natural clay and minerals, contemporary production and the work of people who shape, decorate and finish the pieces by hand. The collections use those processes differently: Beja takes its cue from traditional enameled tableware, Alentejo from the landscape and decorative character of its namesake region, and Vila from Portuguese floral decoration. The same design house extends its table setting to materials such as linen and oak, with the construction and care specified separately for each item.
