Paço Real Porcelain Covered Box by Vista Alegre
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
The Paço Real porcelain covered box brings botanical drawing to an ornamental lidded form. A small fruit-like finial and gold details give the piece interest from the top as well as the side.
“I like a covered box whose lid contributes to its character; this is an object worth placing where it can be seen from above.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
