Care & Ownership
Wash gently with a soft sponge and mild detergent; dry before putting away. Avoid abrasive pads and sudden temperature changes. Place soft separators between decorated pieces when stacking. Do not microwave. For dishwasher use, choose short, low-temperature cycles and avoid frequent machine washing.
Maker / Heritage
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings a living decorative tradition to the table. Its porcelain is glazed, fired and individually checked before decoration; the factory also maintains a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected artistic pieces. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron give that long history fresh expression, from finely drawn botanicals to architectural relief. It is this combination of technical care and imaginative decoration that gives the maker its distinctive range.
