Pear Acacia Wood Cheese Serving Tray by Vagabond House

Sale price$210.00
Available to Ship Icon Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days

Textured pewter pears and veined leaves gather at the edge of this round acacia wood cheese serving tray. The thirteen-and-a-half-inch surface leaves room for a composed selection, with the fruit detail providing its natural focal point.

“I like a cheese course that is easy to navigate. Generous portions, grouped accompaniments and accessible knives are more welcoming than a decorative scatter of ingredients.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Hand wash with mild soap and a soft sponge, then dry immediately, including around pewter fittings. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave. Occasionally apply a thin coat of food-grade mineral oil to clean, dry wood and buff away the excess. Let both faces dry with air around them before storing, and keep blades clear of decorative metalwork.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
