Petal Periwinkle Handcrafted Glass Vase by Beatriz Ball - Medium
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
Periwinkle-colored glass and a gently flaring rim give the medium Petal vase a relaxed, petal-like outline. The hand-blown vessel has small surface variations that belong to the making. Its compact form suits a few flowers or a loose collection of stems where a large arrangement would overwhelm the surface.
“I would rather give a few lovely stems the right small vase than force them into a large one. The periwinkle color can be the quiet link between the flowers and the room around them.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
Petal’s softly flaring openings are designed to let flowers lean naturally into the shape of the vase. The glass brings the brand’s flowing outlines to a different material.
