Pheasants Glass and Pewter Pillar Hurricane Centerpiece by Vagabond House
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
One male pheasant and two females gather around the base of a removable glass hurricane. The pewter birds turn the pillar-candle centerpiece into a small sculptural scene, with the clear glass leaving the candle visible above them.
“The pheasants deserve a view from several seats. I would keep surrounding flowers low and safely away from the flame, with the glass accessible for regular cleaning.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Use a properly fitting candle with clearance between its flame and the glass. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials; never leave a burning candle unattended. Follow the candle's burn limits and let wax, glass and metal cool fully before handling. Lift out the glass to hand wash gently in warm soapy water; clean the pewter base with a soft cloth and dry both parts promptly. Avoid abrupt temperature changes, abrasives, silver polish and the dishwasher.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
