Pomegranate Pewter Salt and Pepper Shakers by Vagabond House - Set of 2

One whole pomegranate and one sculpted to reveal its seeds form this pewter salt and pepper pair. The fruit skins, leaves and crown-like stems give the shakers their detail, with the open-fruit design offering a second texture within the set.

“The difference between whole fruit and revealed seeds is what interests me. A plain setting allows guests to discover that the two shakers are companions rather than copies.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Handle sculpted stems, tails and other fine details gently.

Maker / Heritage

Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
