Pumpkin Pewter Candle Snuffer by Vagabond House
Available to Ship: 3-7 Business Days
A curving pumpkin vine forms the handle of this pewter candle snuffer. The sculptural bell and long stem bring an autumn reference to a practical candle accessory, measuring nine inches from end to end.
“The last task of an evening should be as deliberate as the first. I like a snuffer ready so every candle is extinguished before the table is left unattended.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Lower the snuffer bell gently over the flame until it is fully out; check that the wick is no longer glowing. Let the bell and any wax cool before touching or cleaning. Remove cooled wax gently, then wipe with mild soapy water and a soft cloth and dry promptly. Do not scrape with a knife, use abrasives or heat the pewter to remove wax. Store dry with the shaped handle protected from bending.
Maker / Heritage
Vagabond House began in 1986 by turning antique silver tableware into jewelry and table accents. The Haas and Hardy families focused the company on tableware after acquiring it in 2004, and three generations now contribute to the Sierra Madre, California business. Its designers look closely at nature, old architecture and antiques, then work with carvers, artisans and fabricators to bring those ideas into useful objects. In the pewter work, details such as the veins of an oak leaf or the textured skin of a pear are carved and polished into the form. That attention to small, recognizable things gives the pieces much of their character at the table.
